Let’s #ProtectWhatisPrecious. The Oceans. The Womb of Mother Earth.

Did you know that TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company) is planning to dump 1.3 million tons of radioactive waste into the Pacific Ocean as early as this spring? We’ve been able to connect with an expert panel of scientists from across the globe who have achieved a delay in the decision and we want to make sure the voices of the younger and future generations are heard!

What would you say to TEPCO and Japan if you were the voice Mother Earth?

Join us in the Mother Earth Speaks: #OceanHealthNow! campaign and make your voice heard with music and art.

You can’t clean up the environment without first cleaning up people’s hearts.

Meet Hanalei & The Unstoppable Family

Hanalei Swan is a 15 year old sustainable fashion designer who is committed to making a difference - and specifically, protecting our oceans. When Hanalei heard that Japanese company TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company) might dump 100 million tons of radioactive waste water into the Pacific Ocean, she like most of us, got the chills. Hanalei agrees that we must use the ‘precautionary' principle’ before making such a potentially irreversible decision that could affect all of life on Earth as we know it. Not just humans, but most definitely humans - as the entire eco-system and food chain stems from ocean life.

Hanalei enthusiastically agreed to review the science and mobilize with WAME to inspire a public awareness campaign to #sayno2TEPCO. We are instead advocating ‘The Case for Consideration’ of better alternatives to the Fukushima Dump. In an effort to utilize creativity and youth-led action, she is leading the artistic vision of our first hand-painted surfboard as symbol of stewardship to Prime Minister Kishida in Japan and the President of TEPCO in their moral and ethical consideration of this decision about the radioactive waste water.

The second surfboard will be created in a collaborative design process with youth from around the globe submitting their visions for ‘the voice of Mother Earth’ and particular for the Ocean as the ‘womb of Mother Earth.’ Hey kids! If you were Mother Earth, what would you say to Japan about dumping a bunch of radioactive garbage into our ocean?! We’ve officially invited Greenpeace to join hands with us on our ‘Mother Earth Speaks’ Campaign for giving politicians a voice of reason for our next 7 generations.

Together with the Unstoppable Family and all of our strategic partners, we hope to engage millions of women and young people to #ProtectWhatisPrecious with our #MotherEarthSpeaks campaign to give the #ShimaSwanSurfboards to Japanese leaders and prevent this catastrophic radioactive waste dump as soon as possible!
